The
RWPA stays in close contact with OPA through our district representative,
Anna Romano, and our CPhA representative for Ontario, Sherry Peister.
The
RWPA has many volunteers sitting on various committees.
We are
founding members of the Senior's and Medication Committee (SAM)
now running out of the Catholic Family Counseling Centre.
The SAM Hotline is currently under review over it's existence.
The
RWPA was on the planning committee of the Prenatal Health Fairs,
and participates regionally in the Prenatal Health Fairs on
a quarterly basis. If you are interested in participating,
please contact us. WE always need volunteers!
RWPA
provides education and participates on committees with the Region
of Waterloo Community Health Department.
RWPA
provides continuing education to our members.
RWPA
sponsors a bursary in the amount of one thousand dollars ($1,000.00)
chosen by the Faculty Awards Committee, University of Toronto,
based on need, etc. from a local pharmacy student from the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy.
RWPA sponsors a bursary in the amount of one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) to a pharmacy student from the Waterloo Region to the School of Pharmacy, Uiversity of Waterloo chosen by the University and meeting their criteria for bursaries.
